As a software engineer, you will play a crucial role in creating, testing, and enhancing software and tools that serve a variety of impactful platforms, from operating systems and networks to databases. Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduated within the last 3 years or currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with expected completion within the next 12 months in fields such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as C/C++, Python, or Java, along with evidence of recent coursework, projects, or work experience.
  • Experience in quality assurance (QA), testing, and/or debugging in an academic, project-focused, or work-related environment.
  • Eligibility to reside and work in the USA without requiring visa sponsorship or employer support.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Linux, Networking concepts, OS fundamentals, Embedded Development, or Machine Learning.
  • Experience with Databases, Web Application Development, and Web Services.
  • Knowledge in Computer Networking and/or Cybersecurity.
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.

Compensation and Benefits

Individual pay is determined by factors such as location, market conditions, job-related skills, experience, and qualifications. The U.S. salary range for this role is as follows:

New York City Metro Area:

$104,700.00 - $153,000.00

Non-Metro New York state & Washington state:

$92,100.00 - $136,000.00

Eligible U.S. employees are offered several benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching contributions, paid parental leave, short- and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance.

U.S. employees enjoy paid time off benefits, including:

  • 10 paid holidays every year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees.
  • 1 paid day off for your birthday, an additional paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 personal wellness days as determined by Cisco.
  • 16 days of paid vacation per year for non-exempt employees, accrued bi-weekly.
  • Exempt employees participate in a flexible vacation program without a defined limit on vacation time.
  • 80 hours of sick time annually with carryover provisions.
  • Optional paid volunteer days up to 10 per year.
