The Analyst is expected to support the firm’s sales & marketing efforts by providing thoughtful actionable messaging and content for the full menu of CI investment products on a consistent and ongoing basis. They will also ensure the integrity of investment product related analysis and messages. The Analyst will be the overseer, and often one of the originators, of sales and marketing messaging and material as well a provide support to CI GAM’s portfolio management teams and full menu of investment options. Specifically, they will support a team who serves as the primary point of contact for two-way communication between sales and marketing and investment management. WHAT YOU WILL DO Support the team in coordinating and performing work amongst the various portfolio management asset class leads within the group. Support key business initiatives by supporting Portfolio Manager(s) and Management in completing research & analysis, performance reporting and providing key analytics to support and service the sales . Create and update content and presentations that clearly explain the people, process and philosophy of various portfolio managers. Conceptualize, consolidate, and communicate to the national distribution team the investment strategies being used by Portfolio Managers in light of current economic and capital markets conditions on a regular basis. Liaison between Portfolio Managers and the Sales department to ensure that all pertinent information is being communicated effectively and regularly - answer questions posed by sales team on funds and Portfolio Managers. Assist Portfolio Managers and the CI sales team in the organization of and preparation for sales and marketing events. Analyze and maintain an understanding of competitor products and create competitive analysis pieces that can be used by senior management and Sales & Marketing. Assist product and legal in the renewal or enhancement of existing products – AIF, prospectus and other fund filings. Responsible for maintenance of the communication strategy and documentation regarding Portfolio Management team changes. Pro-actively identify opportunities to positively position CI investment strategies in such a way to increase net sales across regions and distribution channels. Perform and interpret fund performance analysis to communicate sources of out/underperformance relative to key competitors and benchmarks, including period commentaries. Monitor, analyze and assess market developments and communicate timely updates on these developments and their potential impact on the assigned products. WHAT YOU WILL BRING Must have 2-3 years of financial services experience. 3 + years of experience in the mutual fund / investment services industry. University degree in the field of Business or Commerce or related field CFA designation or working towards the designation (beneficial, not required). Technical knowledge and interest in investment performance measurement and attribution analysis. Fundamental knowledge of securities analysis and Portfolio Management. Strong communication skills through readable formats and presentation skills. Strong relationship management, communication, and time management skills. Proficient with fund research tools & MS Office (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) This role follows our in‑office work model and requires employees to be onsite four days per week to support collaboration and business needs. This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $95,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program.
