Job Description

As a Network Security Admin at CGI, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall security of the data networks. Your primary skills should include expertise in Network Firewall, SD WAN Management, Palo Alto, and Fortigate, while having a good understanding of Network Routing & Switching would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, modify, and optimize firewall policies and rules to enhance network security
  • Maintain the client's security and networking devices, upgrading them when necessary
  • Provide support for other engineers on Palo Alto equipment/software
  • Support during technical escalations and elevated support for maintaining service level agreements
  • Provide incident response and resolution as part of the 24x7 Network Operations Center
  • Interact with personnel to explain and enforce security measures
  • Ensure tools are configured to maintain firewall infrastructure
  • Participate in technical discussions and explain Cloud Network & Security solutions to meet customer needs
  • Translate client requirements into detailed actions for execution
  • Follow detailed change management and incident management processes
  • Prepare standard instructions and checklists for preparing and installing devices
  • Provide a positive image of the company through interactions with the onshore team/customers
  • Proactively assist junior team members in resolving issues and sharing knowledge

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Certification such as CCIE or equivalent expert level certifications
  • Certification in Palo Alto Networks, such as PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer) preferred
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls and related technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with network protocols, VPN configurations, and security policies
  • Knowledge of protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, SPT, TRUNKS, VLANs, Port-Channel
  • Good knowledge of TCP/IP packet analysis using Wireshark or raw packet captures using tcpdump
  • Experience around Networking (i.e. WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, etc.), Next Gen Firewalls (NGFWs), Proxy, Cloud Security, etc.
