Job description
CEDA is looking for Dredge Operators to work at our Fort McMurray, AB location at Kearl Lake.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performing a wide variety of jobs using basic construction skills and/or operating some power equipment.
- Cleaning, preparation and maintenance of construction equipment or components.
- Participating in daily tool box talk meetings, weekly safety meetings, Safety tours & CEDA’s ICE card program.
- Required to operate and maintain deposition areas, plant facilities, tank farm location, screen tanks & manage sump levels.
- Required to manipulate valves, Rig In/Out diesel pumps, Operation of Dredges & Diesel /Electric pumps, skid steer, etc.
- Perform other activities to assist with process and machine operators.
- Maintain Cleanliness of equipment & Housekeeping in immediate work areas.
- May be required to assist with minor repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to travel and flexibility in scheduling in required.
Role Specifications:
- Prior experience with pumps, centrifuge systems or dredging and dewatering
- Valid Class 5 licence with a clean abstract
- Valid CSO certification (or combination of CSTS-09 and OSSA Regional or BSO)
- Valid Pleasure Craft operator card is desirable
- Marine Emergency Duties (A1 or A3) licence is an asset
- Small Vessel Operator (SVOP) training is an asset
- Able to provide a negative pre-employment alcohol and drug test;
- Able to work in confined space or at heights with the use of fall restraint equipment is an asset
- Comfortable with the use of additional respiratory equipment (N-95 Dust Mask / North Half mask)

- Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Comfortable being on and around open bodies of water
- Comfortable working outdoors in harsh weather conditions
- You have the ability to prioritize and initiate innovative solutions
- You demonstrate strong organizational and problem solving skills
- You possess an uncompromising commitment to health and safety at all times
