You’ll build and deploy against one of the most unique data foundations - over 1.6 million connected assets generating real-world data daily. These data and platform capabilities are enabling the development of AI models, edge computing architectures, and software systems that scale across fleets, products, and industries. The result will be a new generation of machines that continuously learn, improve, and deliver performance at scale.
JOB DUTIES
The Software Engineer helps build the platform capabilities that power a new generation of digital products. This role is ideal for engineers who want to make visible business impact by designing, building, testing, and deploying secure, scalable services on AWS. You will work on meaningful platform and product challenges, contribute to modern engineering practices including responsible AI-assisted development workflows, and grow your technical depth in a collaborative Agile environment focused on quality, ownership, and continuous learning.
- Design, build, test, and maintain backend RESTful API services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Contribute to the delivery of secure, scalable platform capabilities hosted in AWS and support the lifecycle from design through deployment and operations.
- Work directly on complex application and technical problems, analyze root causes, and implement high-quality solutions.
- Develop business-value features with attention to performance, reliability, maintainability, and observability.
- Follow established engineering standards for source control, testing, code reviews, documentation, and CI/CD automation.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and software engineering agents to accelerate implementation, testing, debugging, refactoring, and documentation while validating outputs through code review, automated tests, and established engineering standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to refine requirements, estimate work, and deliver incremental value to customers.
- Contribute to front-end or Python-related tasks when needed while remaining primarily focused on Java/Spring Boot backend microservice development.
- Contribute to structured application and interface code, technical documentation, and operational runbooks in a fast-moving environment.
