Job Description
Hybrid/Remote (preference for candidates located in the DMV region - Washington DC, Northern Virginia, or Maryland)
The Company
A fast-growing, entrepreneurial business operating across healthcare technology, cyber security, and services. The firm has built a strong track record delivering into the federal market and is now at an inflection point, investing in commercial growth and scaling beyond its federal roots.
This is an opportunity to join at a pivotal stage, with strong existing credibility, proven delivery capability, and clear ambition to scale and position the business for a future exit.
The Role
This is a critical, first commercial leadership hire.
You will be responsible for building and scaling the commercial revenue function from the ground up, creating pipeline, winning new business, and helping shape how the company takes its capabilities to market.
This is a highly hands-on role. You won’t inherit a pipeline, you’ll build it. The expectation is someone who can operate with autonomy, move quickly, and turn opportunity into revenue from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new revenue across commercial healthcare, health tech, and related sectors
- Build and manage a pipeline from scratch through to close
- Sell a mix of services and early-stage product offerings
- Package and position existing capabilities into compelling commercial solutions
- Develop and leverage partnerships with healthcare organisations and consulting firms
- Own the full sales process: outreach, discovery, demos, proposals, and negotiation
- Translate a strong federal track record into commercial growth opportunities
Candidate Profile
- Proven track record of generating and closing new business
- Experience selling into healthcare, health tech, or adjacent markets
- Strong network across target customers and partners
- Comfortable selling services and product-led solutions
- Able to operate independently without heavy structure or support
- Resilient, proactive, and motivated by building something new
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a clear focus on revenue and growth
Why this role
- True "build from zero" opportunity with real ownership and influence
- Direct exposure to senior leadership and company strategy
- Strong foundations already in place (delivery capability, credibility, partnerships)
- Clear pathway to scale the commercial business and drive significant revenue growth
- Equity opportunity tied to long-term success and exit ambitions
This is ideal for someone who wants impact, autonomy, and upside and is excited by the challenge of turning a proven federal business into a scalable commercial success.
