Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an ESL Tutor at Carrot Global. The Remote ESL Tutor will deliver live online English lessons to learners of varying proficiency levels, focusing on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in business and general English contexts. Responsibilities include preparing and customizing lesson materials, using digital platforms and tools to conduct interactive classes, and providing clear feedback and guidance to support learner progress. The tutor will assess learner needs, track performance, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly, while maintaining accurate records of lessons and attendance. Collaboration with the academic team to improve curriculum, share best practices, and maintain high teaching standards is also expected.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in English Teaching and Teaching English as a Foreign Language, with the ability to adapt methods to diverse learner profiles.

Experience with Online Tutoring and Tutoring, including use of virtual classrooms and digital learning tools.

Demonstrated proficiency in general Teaching skills, such as lesson planning, classroom management, and assessment.

Excellent command of spoken and written English, with clear, neutral, and professional communication.

Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field preferred; TEFL/TESOL/CELTA or equivalent certification is highly beneficial.

Reliable high-speed internet connection, suitable hardware, and a quiet environment for delivering online classes.

Strong intercultural communication skills and sensitivity when working with international learners and corporate clients.

Ability to work independently, manage a consistent full-time schedule, and maintain professional reliability and punctuality.
