Owner OR Writer

Role Description The Owner or Writer role at Career Path Connector is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. This role involves creating clear, engaging written content that supports job seekers, including job guides, application tips, resume examples, and informational materials about opportunities. The individual will manage and update online and offline resources, respond to inquiries from job seekers, and ensure all information remains accurate and current. Day-to-day tasks include researching labor market trends, drafting and editing articles or posts, refining messaging for various audiences, and coordinating with partners or stakeholders as needed. The person in this position may also help shape the overall content strategy and operational approach of Career Path Connector, contributing ideas to improve services and outreach.

Qualifications

• Strong writing and editing abilities, with experience creating clear, concise content for job seekers or general audiences.
• Ability to research employment trends, hiring practices, and local job markets, and translate findings into practical guidance.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple content projects, deadlines, and communication channels efficiently.
• Comfort engaging with job seekers and partners, with strong interpersonal and professional communication skills.
• Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in an on-site environment.
• Familiarity with job search processes, resume and cover letter standards, and basic recruitment or HR concepts is an asset.
• Previous experience in communications, career services, community support, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Post-secondary education in communications, English, social sciences, business, or a related discipline is beneficial.
