What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full‑stack development tools and technologies.
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with new technologies, participating in internal and external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud‑based solutions that create powerful experiences for millions of Americans.
• Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node.js, Go, and Scala; work with open‑source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, container orchestration services (Docker, Kubernetes), and a variety of AWS tools and services.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience (internship experience does not apply).

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.
• 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering.
• 1+ year of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
• 3+ years of experience in open‑source frameworks.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.

Compensation and Benefits

Richmond, VA: $144,200 – $164,600
