Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable General Automotive Mechanic to join our team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive automotive repairs including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical systems
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to repair or replace vehicle components
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Assist with vehicle assembly and disassembly as needed
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair guides
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and recommendations clearly
- Perform heavy lifting of vehicle parts or components safely and efficiently
Qualifications
- 5+ years of general automotive repair experience
- Dealership experience preferred but not required
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge including engine diagnostics and electrical systems
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately
- Experience with automotive repair software is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license is required
