Full-Stack Engineer

About the job:

We are seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to support the modernization and stabilization of a large-scale, mission-critical technology platform. This role focuses on building and maintaining reliable application services, modernizing legacy components, and strengthening shared platform capabilities across cloud, frontend, and backend systems.

The Full-Stack Engineer works closely with senior engineers and solution architects to deliver production-ready software that meets high availability, security, and performance requirements. This role is hands-on and delivery-focused, with opportunities to contribute across multiple technical areas including cloud infrastructure, APIs, frontend applications, and automated testing.

What you will do at Sogeti:

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack application services using modern backend and frontend technologies.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and backend services to support scalable, cloud-ready architectures.
• Develop and maintain frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Support modernization of legacy systems by refactoring, decomposing, or replacing existing functionality.
• Collaborate on cloud deployment patterns, infrastructure-as-code, and environment configuration.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and deployment workflows.
• Review and validate code to ensure quality, security, and maintainability.
• Partner with team members to resolve defects, improve performance, and enhance system reliability.
• Document technical designs, implementation details, and operational considerations.

What you will bring:

• Experience as a full-stack software engineer working on production systems.
• Strong backend development experience (for example: Node.js, Python, Java, or similar).
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.Frontend development experience with modern frameworks (such as React) and TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Working knowledge of relational databases (such as PostgreSQL), including schema design and query optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized deployments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
• Ability to work with existing or legacy codebases and contribute to modernization efforts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a delivery-focused environment.

Education

• Bachelor-s or Master-s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $60,000 - $70,000.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
