Description

As a Talent Development Specialist at CAE, you will support the growth and development of employees through engaging, practical, and scalable learning experiences. Working in close partnership with HR Business Partners, subject matter experts, and external vendors, you will translate business needs into impactful learning solutions aligned with CAE’s leadership and skills priorities. You will play a key role in designing and delivering leadership development programs, facilitating workshops at all organizational levels, and leveraging modern learning technologies and AI-enabled tools to enhance effectiveness and reach.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Support and deliver the rollout and adoption of learning initiatives and talent and leadership development programs aligned with business priorities (e.g., Leaders 101, Leaders of Influence).
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, business leaders, and stakeholders to diagnose needs and translate them into practical learning solutions and program plans.
  • Design, deliver, and facilitate engaging virtual and in-person learning experiences for global audiences, including workshops, cohorts, peer learning, simulations, and blended learning solutions.
  • Design and develop engaging learning experiences and content across multiple formats (e-learning, microlearning, workshops, toolkits, facilitator and participant guides) using adult learning and instructional design best practices.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of CAE’s leadership development pathway (e.g., Leading Self, Leading Teams, Leading Leaders), translating business goals into actionable learning roadmaps.
  • Manage external vendors and learning partners to ensure quality delivery and a positive learner experience.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) and modern learning technologies to accelerate content development, improve workflow efficiency, and enhance learner engagement.
  • Measure learning effectiveness and continuously improve programs by incorporating learner feedback and evaluation data.
  • Contribute to a strong learning culture by sharing best practices and supporting continuous learning across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Instructional Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3–6 years of experience in talent development, learning and development, talent management, or a related role.
  • Professional proficiency in English and French, both written and spoken.
  • Experience designing and developing learning content using tools such as Articulate Storyline and/or Rise (or equivalent) considered an asset.
  • Proven facilitation experience delivering workshops or learning experiences in virtual and in-person environments.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and modern learning and development practices.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • High level of autonomy, initiative, and willingness to continuously learn and adapt.
  • Comfort using AI tools to support content creation and workflow efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting the design, curriculum architecture, and delivery of leadership development or enterprise learning programs.
  • Experience facilitating experiential learning approaches such as workshops, cohorts, peer learning, or simulations.
  • Familiarity with competency frameworks, leadership development models, performance management, or succession planning.
  • Experience working with learning management systems (LMS).
  • Background in adult education, teaching, organizational development, or a similar field.
  • Experience collaborating with external vendors or learning partners.
  • Knowledge of broader HR talent management practices and business acumen.
