The Opportunity

CACI is seeking a Database Architect who can operate independently and contribute to the planning, design, development, and implementation of Carderock’s digital ecosystem, Data Management Program, and emerging Information Management Center. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience working with databases—especially Oracle—and prior experience supporting DoD environments. This role will directly influence enterprise‑level data governance, architecture, and knowledge‑management capabilities through 2027 and beyond.

Responsibilities

The contractor shall provide the following support services:

Digital Ecosystem Planning & Design

  • Support planning and design of Carderock’s digital ecosystem, including physical/virtual infrastructure, networks, and software.
  • Conduct systems engineering, SME advising, development, analysis, testing, and evaluation activities.
  • Contribute to requirements development, architecture design, process optimization, best practices, prototypes, proofs of concept, and workforce development materials.

Data Management Program Development

Support the development of Carderock’s Data Management Program aimed at achieving DAMA DMBOK Level 3 maturity by 2027, including:

  • Refining functional requirements gathered across the workforce; analyzing requirements for data collection, storage, and access systems.
  • Designing and conducting analysis of alternatives for commercial, internally developed, and hybrid systems.
  • Supporting development of design requirements, solution solicitations, and proposal evaluations.
  • Assisting with system/operations design and architecture development.
  • Supporting prototype development and evaluation.

Information Management Center Development

  • Support creation of Carderock’s Information Management Center, which builds upon the Data Management Program, Command Knowledge Management efforts, and the Command Library.
  • Contribute to establishing a culture and system enabling on‑demand data, information, and knowledge discovery, sharing, and access over the next five years.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience working in a DoD environment
  • Degree in a relevant field
  • Strong professional communication skills
  • Experience working with Oracle databases

Pay Range

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is

$86,600 - $181,800
