Lead Cook- Amerisports

The Lead Cook is responsible for executing culinary operations with precision and excellence. This position requires proficiency in food preparation according to established recipes, oversight of food production quality standards, and strategic management of kitchen inventory and resources. The Lead Cook serves as a key operational leader within the kitchen team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

• Execute and delegate food preparation according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistent quality and timely order fulfillment.
• Oversee food production operations to verify adherence to established quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate order preparation and expedite pick-up procedures to optimize kitchen workflow.
• Maintain optimal cleanliness and organization of assigned work stations and storage areas.
• Implement inventory management protocols, including proper stock rotation, storage procedures, and quantity controls to minimize waste and maintain par levels.
• Enforce and model established safety and sanitation procedures consistently across all kitchen operations.
• Mentor and coach Line Cooks, providing guidance on culinary techniques, food safety standards, and operational best practices.

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

• Minimum one (1) year of experience as a cook
• Ability to stand and/or walk for the duration of shift
• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 75 pounds
• Physical capability to perform reaching, grasping, bending, kneeling, and twisting at the waist
• Ability to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications
