Retail Associate

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Retail Associate to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers, providing exceptional service, and assisting with sales of a variety of products. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and have a passion for retail and technology sales. Bilingual abilities and experience with product demos are highly valued to enhance customer interactions and drive sales. As a Retail Associate, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming shopping environment and ensuring customers have a positive experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services
• Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to customers, especially for technology-related items
• Handle cashiering duties including POS transactions, cash handling, and processing payments accurately
• Upsell products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities
• Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and restocking shelves as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during busy periods
• Follow phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers over the phone
• Assist with inventory management and stock organization to ensure product availability
• Support store operations by maintaining cleanliness and organization of the sales floor

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred (Butcher Shop setting or meat in general)
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus (e.g., English, French)
• Basic math skills for cash handling and POS transactions
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
• Strong interpersonal skills, including phone etiquette and customer engagement techniques
• Demonstrated ability to upsell and promote products confidently
• Reliable with good time management skills to ensure efficient store operations
