Application Security Specialist

In this role, you’ll have access to the latest tools and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the industry, whether you’re modernizing existing platforms or designing new solutions from the ground up.

You Have:

• 4+ years of experience supporting DoD enterprise architectures.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls, including micro-segmentation and identity-aware access controls.
• Proven skills in applying App-ID, User-ID, segmentation policies, and advanced security profiles using Palo Alto NGFW.
• Experience with DoD IL Clouds or private cloud environments.
• Familiarity with VMware and NSX-T for micro-segmentation, routing, and software-defined networking.
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies and topologies.
• Secret clearance is required.
• High School diploma or GED.

Nice If You Have:

• Experience working with DoD clients to troubleshoot issues in enterprise architecture.
• Proficiency with Office 365 applications and Teams collaboration.
• Competency in interacting with tools via RDP, web UI, SSH, and CLI.
• Understanding of cryptography protocols and standards, such as TLS, mTLS, and PKI.
• Familiarity with federal compliance standards like NIST 800-53, FIPS, DoD STIG, and FedRAMP.
• Knowledge of Linux/UNIX environments with troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of networking protocols.

Clearance:

Applicants selected will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandated.

Salary is determined by various factors including location, education, skills, and experience. The projected salary range for this position is $86,900 to $198,000 annually.

Work Model:
