Principal DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal DevOps Engineer to lead our DevOps initiatives and drive the automation, improvement, and scaling of infrastructure and deployment pipelines. This role involves collaborating closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth continuous integration, delivery, and reliability of our systems at scale. The ideal candidate will leverage their deep expertise to design and implement robust solutions, mentor team members, and influence best practices across the organization.

Job Overview and description of the role

• Design, implement, and manage scalable CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
• Lead infrastructure automation and configuration management using industry-standard tools.
• Collaborate with software engineers and product teams to improve system reliability and performance.
• Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers, establishing and promoting best practices.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to prevent downtime.

Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of experience in DevOps or related roles.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proven experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Excellent scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or Groovy.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
• Familiarity with security best practices in DevOps workflows.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts and security groups.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Master's degree is a plus
