Job Description

The Junior Java & API Technical Support Engineer (TSE 2) will provide operational support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and minor enhancements for Java‑based REST/SOAP APIs and related platform components.

The role assists senior engineers in ensuring availability, performance, and reliability of API services. It includes debugging issues, supporting deployments, writing and maintaining simple Java components, and contributing to continuous improvement of API operations and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

Support and maintain Java Spring Boot‑based APIs and microservices.
Perform first‑ and second‑level troubleshooting for API incidents, defects, and performance issues.
Develop small fixes, enhancements, and utilities under guidance of senior engineers.
Assist in writing and executing unit tests for API components.
Contribute to maintaining clean, secure, and well‑documented code.
Support deployments to environments such as AWS EKS, Linux servers, or other cloud platforms.
Monitor API performance using observability tools (AppDynamics, ELK, CloudWatch, etc.).
Document API components, changes, and troubleshooting steps.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, product owners, and QA.
Follow Develops practices and organizational standards.
Continuously learn technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, AWS, Git, CI/CD.

Min-Max years of exp- 2-4 years

Mandatory skills- Minimum Experience

Basic knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and REST/SOAP API concepts.
Exposure to microservices, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), or cloud platforms is a plus.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins), and artifact repositories.
Understanding of API testing tools like Postman or Swagger.
Basic troubleshooting skills for API, application logs, and infrastructure issues.
Good communication, eagerness to learn, and ability to work in a fast paced team.
