What are your contributions to the team?

• Lead and structure a team of approximately 15 technical experts dedicated to technology research.
• Implement tools, processes, and performance indicators to optimize team effectiveness.
• Ensure the sustainability of the team's knowledge, expertise, and best practices.
• Foster a culture of cross-functional collaboration and collective efficiency.
• Serve as the central point of coordination to align technology strategies with operational needs.
• Lead the selection, evaluation, and adaptation of existing manufacturing technologies used in product fabrication.
• Oversee and support technical activities related to the acquisition and implementation of new equipment.
• Support operations in the development and deployment of new manufacturing processes.
• Ensure the quality, robustness, relevance, and timely delivery of technical outputs.
• Quickly identify issues, gaps, and risks, and mobilize the team toward effective solutions.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in both French and English (advanced level) with team members, management, and executive leadership.
• Ensure effective coordination among key stakeholders, including Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and Management.
• Manage the budgets associated with the team's activities.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, including team management.
• You have demonstrated experience leading technical teams and establishing organizational structures.
• You have a strong understanding of existing manufacturing technologies (sheet metal, machining, composites, and assembly).
• You have a management-focused approach with a strong emphasis on efficiency, organizational structure, and cross-functional leadership.
• You demonstrate sound judgment and flexibility, are results-oriented, capable of working with minimal supervision, and comfortable meeting tight deadlines.
• You have a strong sense of initiative and are ready to work as part of a winning team.
• You are a motivated individual and a team player who can work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
• You are mobile and may be required to travel.
• You have a practical engineering mindset and will be expected to work closely with shop-floor operations.
• You are bilingual (French and English).
• This position is primarily site-based (on-site).
