About the Role

Black Pagoda is seeking an experienced and strategic Digital Marketing Specialist to lead and optimize multi-channel marketing initiatives. This role requires a highly organized professional with strong B2B marketing expertise, conversion-focused thinking, and the ability to independently manage campaigns, automation systems, and digital growth strategies.

The ideal candidate should be capable of driving engagement, improving lead conversion, and supporting long-term customer acquisition efforts through data-driven marketing initiatives and automation-led workflows.

This is a fully remote independent contractor position requiring strong communication, accountability, and the ability to coordinate effectively with US-based teams and timelines.

Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing Campaign Management

  • Plan, execute, and optimize SMS, email, and voicemail marketing campaigns
  • Develop and manage campaign calendars and outreach strategies
  • Monitor campaign performance and continuously improve engagement and conversion rates
  • Conduct A/B testing and optimization for messaging, funnels, and workflows

Marketing Automation & CRM

  • Build, manage, and refine automation workflows using Zoho CRM, Zoho Campaigns, and Go High Level
  • Develop customer journey strategies and lead nurturing workflows
  • Segment audiences and maintain CRM hygiene for effective targeting
  • Create automated sequences for lead qualification, onboarding, follow-ups, and retention

Content & Social Media

  • Create, schedule, and manage social media content across platforms
  • Write and publish SEO-optimized blog posts and website content
  • Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Canva to generate and enhance marketing content
  • Create basic marketing visuals and creatives when required

Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor campaign KPIs including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and ROI
  • Prepare analytical reports with actionable insights and recommendations
  • Track lead flow and conversion performance across campaigns and channels
  • Identify opportunities for growth, optimization, and customer retention

Strategic Contribution

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support digital marketing initiatives and lead generation efforts
  • Contribute strategic ideas focused on growth, retention, and conversion optimization
  • Stay updated on digital marketing trends, automation tools, and AI-powered marketing technologies

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA in Marketing or a related field from a reputed institution preferred (candidates from IIMs, XLRI/Xavier School of Management, and other premier business schools will be given preference)
  • 3–4 years of professional experience in digital marketing, preferably in B2B environments
  • Strong expertise in Zoho CRM, Zoho Campaigns, and Go High Level automation systems
  • Proven experience with SMS, email, and voicemail outreach campaigns
  • Strong understanding of marketing automation, funnels, customer journeys, and lead conversion strategies
  • Experience in social media management and SEO-focused content creation
  • Familiarity with AI-powered productivity and content tools
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with US-based timelines

Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing lead nurturing workflows and CRM segmentation
  • Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles
  • Strong copywriting and campaign messaging abilities
  • Ability to interpret campaign data and make performance-driven decisions
  • Strong communication and project coordination skills
  • Experience working in remote or international team environments
