We are partnering with a rapidly growing biotech company to hire for multiple roles in Bioprocess Downstream (RE/RA/SRA) based in Bengaluru. Job Title: Research Executive / Research Associate / Senior Research Associate – Bioprocess Downstream Required Qualifications: 0–8 years of industrial experience in protein/large molecule purification (lab scale to pilot scale). Education: - M.Tech in Biotechnology or Chemical Engineering - M.Sc. Biotechnology - M.Sc. Biochemistry - PhD in Life Sciences or related fields Roles and Responsibilities: - Carry out downstream processes from the following purification steps. - Develop the following purification steps for process scale-up: Purification Steps - Harvest & Clarification – Centrifugation, depth filtration, microfiltration - Cell disruption (homogenization, chemical lysis) - Chromatography-based purification - Ultrafiltration/Diafiltration (TFF) Knowledge and Experience: Practical experience and/or theoretical knowledge in any or all of the following purification steps: - Harvest & Clarification – Centrifugation, depth filtration, microfiltration - Knowledge/experience in various types of resins such as Affinity chromatography (His-tag, Protein A/G/L), Ion exchange (CEX/AEX), Hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC), Mixed-mode chromatography, Size exclusion chromatography (SEC) - Ultrafiltration/Diafiltration (TFF) - Impurity Clearance – Host cell protein (HCP) reduction, DNA and endotoxin removal, Viral inactivation and filtration - Formulation & Fill – Buffer exchange, concentration, stability optimization - Operation of purification equipment like chromatography systems, TFF systems, etc.
