Content Strategist Job Description
This is a hybrid role in Richmond, VA. In-office days are Tuesday and Thursday. MWF is work from home. You will be on-site for client Content Days each month.

The Role
You are the type of person who can take client goals and translate them into social media content that moves people into action, and then walk into a content shoot and direct it with total confidence. You are obsessed with the best social media strategies that drive results.
We are looking for someone who understands how content influences decisions, builds trust, and drives action. "What do we need to say, to whom, and why?" That question doesn't keep you up at night. It's just how you think.
You'll own content strategy across assigned client accounts, building monthly plans that map to the buyer journey, reviewing what goes live, and leading on-site content days where you build the shot list, direct the client, and make sure we walk away with the best possible content.
You'll work closely with our Digital Marketing Coordinators and the Director of Brand & Marketing Strategy. The social strategy lives with you. The standard is yours to set.
What You’ll Own:
- Monthly content strategies mapped to the awareness, consideration, and decision stages of the buyer journey
- Content plans, themes, and briefs that give the team clear, confident direction
- On-site content days: production plan, shot list, directing clients on camera, maximizing every hour
- Quality review of content before it ever goes live
- Performance review and strategy adjustments based on what's actually working
- Select client relationships: monthly calls, strategy presentations, and clear communication

Qualifications
- 5+ years in content strategy, social media, or digital marketing
- Proven ability to build a strategy that converts, not just content that gets engagement
- Experience leading on-site content days and directing clients
- Confident communicator in a boardroom and behind a camera
- Organized and proactive - you build systems, not workarounds
- Based in Richmond, VA and available for monthly content days

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
