Job description
Civil Services Foreman Beitzel Corporation is seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Services Foreman to lead field operations across a variety of industrial and construction projects. This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone with strong civil construction experience who enjoys mentoring crews, operating in the field, and taking pride in a job well done — wherever the road may take them. This role involves extensive overnight and out-of-town work, often requiring a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional night shifts. What You'll Do Oversee crews and perform project tasks as assigned to ensure projects are completed according to safety, quality, budget, and schedule requirements Determine and communicate personnel, equipment, and supply needs to the Managers within the Civil Group Oversee and perform job duties such as moving and unloading trucks, operating heavy machinery (excavator, dozer, etc.), cleaning equipment, general and skilled labor, and other duties as needed Read and scale drawings to accurately determine grade and layout by using current technology and industry best-practices Prepare required paperwork and documentation such as daily production reports, receipts, job pictures, etc. to ensure accurate record keeping, billing, and inventory Ensure that company tools, equipment, and vehicles are clean, properly maintained, and kept in a professional and workman-like manner Assist, coach, train, and guide other field personnel as needed Working Conditions Sit, talk, hear, read, and write Regularly walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms Must be able to kneel, stoop, bend, squat, and climb a ladder The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Must be able to work at heights Must be able to work in confined spaces Works indoors and outdoors in all types of weather Perform duties on-site at industrial locations to include uneven terrain What You'll Bring OSHA 30 required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire Demonstrated leadership ability to effectively lead crews to complete project specific tasks Comprehensive knowledge of Civil and Excavation Services required Ability to read and understand drawings and create appropriate execution plans Proficient in the use of small equipment such as a telehandler, skid steer, mini excavator, hydroseeder, tractors, track truck, etc. and the ability to train others Ability to create and maintain a positive and inspirational working culture that promotes positive employee moral Ability to effectively identify and delegate task priorities to field crews Ability to lead tasks to completion in a timely manner to facilitate project goals and timelines How We'll Support You WE ARE NOW EMPLOYEE OWNED Employees are beneficial owners through an ESOP (Employee Stock Option Plan) that works through a qualified retirement plan.
