Job Description
As a Animator on Dead by Daylight, you’ll focus on crafting powerful, realistic character performances that bring tension, weight, and emotion to the world of horror. With a strong foundation in keyframe animation, you’ll shape nuanced and believable movements that define how Survivors and Killers feel moment to moment.
Driven by a passion for horror and grounded, realistic animation, you’ll work closely with animation, design, and technical teams to create performances that support gameplay, atmosphere, and storytelling in one of the most iconic live service horror games.
In this role you will :
- Effectively apply the principles of animation to create a high-quality character
- Understand game design intentions and create in conjunction with the art team the required animation lists for characters
- Integrate your animation in game engine
- Have the ownership of the characters and ensure the overall quality of the product
- Help define, structure, and evolve animation workflows and pipelines, ensuring best practices are shared and consistently applied across the team
- Animate a diverse cast of characters from grounded human movement to unsettling creatures, monsters, and mechanical beings while maintaining a strong sense of realism and weight
What we are looking for :
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in animation within the gaming, film, tv or entertainment industry
- Experience with Autodesk Maya, or equivalent is a must and with game engine is a plus
- Solid understanding of animation tools, with a basic knowledge of rigging concepts and video game production pipelines
- Strong observation skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage tasks and projects effectively
- Collaborative, team‑oriented mindset with a strong client/player‑focused approach
- Strong skills in realistic animation, with the ability to create grounded, believable movement, weight, and physicality that enhances immersion in Dead by Daylight
Dans ce rôle vous devrez :
- Appliquer efficacement les principes de l’animation afin de créer des personnages de grande qualité;
- Comprendre les intentions de design et, en collaboration avec l’équipe artistique, élaborer les listes d’animations nécessaires aux personnages;

- Être responsable des personnages et garantir la qualité globale du produit;
- Contribuer à la définition, à la structuration et à l’évolution des workflows et pipelines d’animation, en veillant au partage et à l’application cohérente des meilleures pratiques au sein de l’équipe;
- Animer une grande variété de personnages, allant de mouvements humains réalistes à des créatures troublantes, monstres et entités mécaniques, tout en conservant un fort sens du réalisme et du poids
Ce que nous cherchons :
- Minimum de 4 ans d’expérience professionnelle en animation dans les domaines du jeu vidéo, du cinéma, de la télévision ou du divertissement;
- Expérience avec Autodesk Maya (ou équivalent) requise ; une expérience avec un moteur de jeu est un atout;
- Bonne compréhension des outils d’animation, avec des bases en concepts de rigging et en pipelines de production de jeux vidéo;
- Excellentes capacités d’observation, adaptabilité et aptitude à gérer efficacement des tâches et des projets;
- Esprit collaboratif et orienté travail d’équipe, avec une forte approche centrée sur le client et les joueurs;
