This role is key to driving operational efficiency and innovation within the Canadian Personal and Business Banking Business Risk group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, loading and visualization of data from a wide variety of data sources using Power BI and HTML customization to provide actionable insights for effective business risk management.
- Automate manual Business Risk processes using Power Platform, Phyton-suite and data-driven solutions to deliver significant time savings and improve efficiency.
- Build and maintain Power Apps for custom workflows and data entry solutions within the Business Risk group.
- Implement workflow automation using Power Automate to streamline reporting and approvals.
- Develop interactive dashboards and data visualizations
- Document data flow, systems and processes to improve the design, implementation and management of business/group processes.
- Provide training and support for self-service analytics using M365 tools.
- Contribute to BMO’s Winning Culture by collaborating across teams and sharing knowledge to achieve collective success.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Technical Competencies:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- Solid understanding of programming, systems thinking, and technical design.
Microsoft Power Platform certifications:
- PL-900 – Power Platform Fundamentals (required)
- PL-200 – Functional Consultant Associate (preferred)
Must-Have advanced skills:
- Power BI – Data modeling, DAX, dashboard design.
- Power Apps – Low-code app development.
- Power Automate – Workflow automation.
- M365 Integration – SharePoint, Teams, Excel.
- Phyton – OOP, data handling libraries
- Web Development – HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- SQL Programming

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.
