Job Description
This job is responsible for leading a large corporate security function that protects bank employees, facilities and assets. Key responsibilities including proactive issue identification and management, developing recommendations to senior management, and coordinating with local and enterprise leadership, law enforcement, regulatory and industry counterparts.
The Security Intelligence Executive is a senior leader within the bank’s Global Corporate Security & Executive Protection function, responsible for overseeing a globally distributed, regionally aligned intelligence capability that operates 24/7 and proactively identifies, assesses, and communicates risks to the bank’s people, assets, operations, and brand. This role leads a high-performing team of Intelligence Analysts, Researchers, and Travel Safety Specialists, delivering actionable insights and real-time intelligence to senior leadership and key stakeholders across the enterprise through a clear escalation model. Operating at both strategic and tactical levels, the Security Intelligence Executive ensures the bank maintains a forward-looking view of emerging threats, while also providing rapid, high-impact intelligence support during incidents and periods of elevated risk. The role serves as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, shaping risk-informed decision-making in a dynamic global environment.
Responsibilities
- Develops the overall security strategy, policies, and standards to ensure the physical security of all employees, visitors, and clients and bank property/assets
- Plans and prepares for crisis response, workplace violence, and other emergency events
- Ensures consistent application of professional best practices in administering the overall physical security and/or life safety programs
- Plans and organizes resources to achieve the group's goals and objectives
- Coordinates the identification and reporting of significant issues and develops recommendations to senior management to protect the company's people, assets and brand
- Maintains close business relationships with all lines of business in the region, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly understood and issues/concerns are escalated appropriately
- Works closely with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies and regulatory and industry counterparts to proactively pool resources, share intelligence, and develop robust security and life safety programs
Global Intelligence Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute the bank’s enterprise-wide security intelligence strategy, aligned to evolving global risk dynamics and business priorities.
- Lead, develop, and scale a global team of Intelligence Analysts, Researchers, and Travel Safety Specialists, fostering a culture of analytical rigor, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Establish intelligence priorities, collection requirements, and analytic standards to ensure consistent, high-quality outputs across regions.
- Drive innovation in intelligence capabilities, including the use of technology, data analytics, and external partnerships.
Threat Monitoring & Risk Assessment
- Oversee continuous monitoring of geopolitical, criminal, cyber-adjacent, reputational, and environmental threats impacting the bank’s global footprint.
- Assess both immediate and emerging (“over-the-horizon”) risks, translating complex intelligence into clear, actionable insights.
- Provide forward-looking analysis on global trends to inform enterprise risk management, strategic planning, and business continuity efforts.
Protective Intelligence
- Lead the bank’s Protective Intelligence program, focused on identifying, assessing, and mitigating threats to the Executive Management Team and other designated principals.
- Oversee continuous monitoring and analysis of potential threats targeting executives, including physical threats, inappropriate communications, online activity, reputational risks, and pre-incident indicators.
- Partner closely with Executive Protection, Major Events Security, Threat Management, Cyber, HR, Legal, and Communications to ensure coordinated risk mitigation strategies and response protocols.
- Use technology and AI to drive continuous improvements on how we respond to risk
Executive Intelligence & Crisis Support
- Deliver real-time intelligence analysis and briefings to executive leadership during critical incidents, crises, or periods of heightened threat.
- Serve as a key advisor in crisis management structures, ensuring decision-makers are informed by accurate and timely intelligence.
- Produce executive-level reporting and briefings tailored to senior stakeholders
Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, including within Global Corporate Security & Executive Protection, as well as Enterprise Risk, Compliance, Business Continuity, HR, and Communications.
- Build and lead partnerships with government agencies, law enforcement, industry groups, intelligence providers, and peer institutions to strengthen situational awareness.
- Influence and guide business leaders on risk mitigation strategies informed by intelligence insights

Required Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in intelligence, security, risk management, or related fields, with significant leadership responsibility
- Proven experience leading global intelligence or risk teams within a complex, multinational organization
- Demonstrated expertise in geopolitical risk analysis, threat intelligence, and crisis support.
- Experience advising senior executives and influencing decision-making in high-stakes environments.
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong executive communication and briefing skills, including the ability to translate intelligence for non-technical audiences.
- Deep understanding of global threat landscapes, including geopolitical, physical security, reputational, and executive risk domains.
- Ability to operate effectively under pressure, including during fast-moving or ambiguous situations.
- Strong leadership and talent development capabilities, with a focus on building resilient, high-performing teams.
