Lead Automotive Technician/ mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with a focus on delivering exceptional service to our customers. This role requires proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems, including powertrain, electrical systems, and ADAS technologies. The Automotive Technician will work in a dynamic environment, ensuring vehicles are serviced efficiently and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on vehicles, including domestic and for vehicles and diesel engines.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for automotive repair tasks.
• Conduct vehicle maintenance services, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications.
• Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues accurately.
• Execute alignment and transmission repairs as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
• Assist in auto estimating for repair costs and timeframes.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance overall service efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician, preferably in a dealership setting.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and repair.
• Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with ADAS technologies is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics related to vehicle systems.
• Proficient in using both hand tools and power tools for automotive repairs.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Welding experience is beneficial but not required.
