Operational Excellence Manager (Upstream Chemicals)

As an Operational Excellence Manager, you will partner with best-in-class clients and internal teams to drive performance, reliability, and continuous improvement across complex thermal operations. In this highly collaborative role, you will lead and support plant trials, diagnose and resolve operational challenges, and ensure key performance indicators are effectively measured and achieved. You will work alongside Account, Field, and District Managers to unlock new opportunities, present data-driven insights, and implement system-level improvements using a Total Systems Approach and TBAM methodologies. Leveraging your strong technical background and SAGD expertise, you will review facility designs, lead chemical trials, interpret system performance, and provide trusted recommendations that directly impact production and asset integrity. Just as important, you will mentor and develop team members, acting as a technical advisor and thought leader who helps raise the bar for how we serve customers and grow our business-together, partnering with the best to deliver Operational Excellence.

As an Operational Excellence Manager, you will be responsible for:

Assisting with (&/or Lead) plant tests & trials.

Assisting District, Field, and Account Managers to ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are being properly measured, recorded, published and more importantly met.

Troubleshooting problems identified by our customers or Baker Hughes' staff.

Assisting with new sales opportunities. Attending exploratory meetings, presenting data and working as a Team Member to grow our business.

Handling objections, technical advice, meeting preparation, etc.)

Meeting with clients to go over P&ID's as it relates to recommendations for facilities. (Leading the use of TBAM (Tools for Better Account Management)

Have a degree in Engineering, Operations, Industrial Management, or similar.

Have minimum 5 years of experience in Operational Excellence, Program Management, or manufacturing/repair environments.

Possess Technical and operational background

Have ability to troubleshoot specific facilities

Possess understanding of new production swings, acid stim affects, vessel performance, Chemical application adjustments,

Be able to mentor / train Account Managers on site

Have ability to lead chemical trials and collect / interpret data from system performance

Be involved in TBAM standardizing and formalizing processes across all accounts

Have strong communication, computer and stakeholder management skills.
