Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. Duties
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and cooperation.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture detailed images of internal organs, tissues, and fetal development.
- Apply proper aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Analyze images for quality and clarity, making adjustments as needed for optimal results.
- Document findings accurately, including measurements and observations, for review by physicians.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, radiologists, and other healthcare providers to interpret imaging results.
- Maintain equipment calibration, cleanliness, and proper functioning to ensure safety and accuracy.
- Educate patients on ultrasound procedures, addressing questions related to maternal-fetal medicine or other specialties as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in medical imaging, sonography, or diagnostic radiology is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn) practices enhances your ability to perform specialized ultrasounds effectively.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential for accurate image interpretation.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques ensures compliance with infection control standards during procedures.
- Excellent communication skills are necessary to explain procedures clearly and provide compassionate patient care.
- Prior experience working with ultrasound equipment and maintaining detailed documentation will support your success in this role.
