The Finance Technology Platform Associate supports the delivery, operation and continuous improvement of Finance technology solutions across core Finance platforms, reporting processes, reconciliations, controls and regulatory outcomes.
The role works closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Technology, QA, Architecture and vendor partners to define system impacts, support solution delivery, validate financial outcomes and help move Finance change safely into production.
The successful candidate will bring strong Finance IT and Accounting knowledge, data analysis capability, testing discipline and practical delivery experience. The focus is on understanding how Finance processes, data, controls and platforms work together, then helping teams implement changes with clear impacts, strong validation and minimal operational risk.
This is a hands-on Finance technology delivery role, supporting platforms such as Oracle Fusion, Guidewire, Data Warehouse, MDM and related Finance applications.
What you'll do
Finance platform delivery and solution support
Support delivery of Finance technology changes across Oracle Fusion, Guidewire, Data Warehouse, MDM and related Finance applications
Work with Finance, Accounting, Operations and Technology teams to confirm system impacts, process impacts, data impacts and control considerations
Translate Finance process needs into clear solution inputs for Technology, QA and delivery partners
Support assessment of solution options, risks, dependencies and implementation impacts
Help ensure Finance requirements are reflected accurately in delivery plans, validation activities and production readiness decisions
Maintain practical delivery documentation needed to support change, testing, operations and auditability
Finance systems and data analysis
Analyze financial data issues across upstream and downstream applications
Support investigation of production issues, reconciliation breaks, reporting differences and control exceptions
Review data flows, interfaces and dependencies between Finance platforms and source systems
Use SQL and other analysis tools to support data investigation, validation, testing and implementation checks
Support financial transaction validation, reporting accuracy and control evidence
Provide clear analysis of root cause, business impact and remediation options
Testing, validation and implementation support
Support UAT, end to end testing, regression testing and production validation activities
Help define Finance validation scenarios, expected outcomes and sign off criteria
Review test coverage for Finance process, accounting, reconciliation, reporting and control impacts
Work with QA, Development, Architecture, Finance and Operations teams during testing cycles
Support defect triage by clarifying Finance impact, severity, workaround options and production risk
Support implementation planning, deployment readiness, post implementation validation and stabilization
Ensure Finance sign-off is supported by clear evidence, agreed outcomes and documented exceptions
Finance controls, reporting and operational support
Support Finance reporting, accounting control and audit related activities
Help maintain process documentation, system knowledge and operational support materials
Find opportunities to simplify manual processes, improve controls and reduce recurring operational issues
Support regulatory, reporting and business transformation initiatives where Finance platform changes are required
Help ensure solutions align with Finance control expectations, audit needs and operational resilience
Stakeholder coordination
Partner with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Technology, QA, Architecture and external delivery partners
Provide clear updates on risks, issues, dependencies, decisions and validation progress
Support working sessions needed to resolve delivery questions, data issues, testing gaps and implementation risks
Build strong working relationships across Finance and Technology to support practical delivery outcomes
What you'll bring
Minimum 7 years of experience supporting Finance systems, financial applications, platform delivery, system change or operational change in a large enterprise environment
Minimum 5 years of experience working with Finance processes, accounting outcomes, reconciliations, reporting or financial controls
Solid understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits, journal entries, General Ledger concepts and financial reporting processes
Experience supporting Finance technology change across ERP, reporting, integration or data platforms
Experience with Oracle Fusion Financials, including GL, AP, AR or related subledgers, or comparable ERP platforms
Experience working with Guidewire applications, such as BillingCenter, PolicyCenter or ClaimCenter
Strong SQL and data analysis skills
Experience investigating data issues, financial processing breaks, reconciliation differences and production defects
Experience supporting UAT, end to end testing, regression testing and business validation activities
Ability to define clear validation scenarios, expected results and sign off evidence
Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
Ability to work effectively with Finance, Technology, QA, Architecture and vendor teams
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Visio, Word and PowerPoint
What makes you stand out
Insurance industry experience
Knowledge of IFRS17, OSFI, GISA, Facility Association or related regulatory requirements
Experience supporting Finance transformation, regulatory reporting or operational simplification initiatives
Familiarity with Data Warehouse, ETL, MDM and integration solutions
Experience working in Agile and hybrid delivery environments
Experience using Jira or Confluence

Finance platform changes are delivered with clear impacts, strong validation and controlled implementation
Financial processing, reconciliations and reporting outcomes are accurate and supportable
UAT, end to end testing and regression testing are well structured and evidence based
Production defects and project issues are assessed clearly, prioritized properly and resolved with the right ownership
Finance sign off is supported by agreed criteria, documented evidence and transparent exceptions
Stakeholders across Finance and Technology have clear visibility of risks, decisions and dependencies
Manual workarounds and recurring process issues are reduced through practical simplification and automation
Finance transformation and regulatory initiatives are supported without weakening operational control
What you’ll get
The salary band for this position ranges from $85,000 to $110,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
