GRAPHIC & PRODUCTION DESIGNER
Job Title: Graphic & Production Designer
Reports to: Creative Lead
Location: Toronto, ON

Description
Auxly is seeking a Graphic & Production Designer on a full-time basis. In this role, you will collaborate with the Creative Lead, Commercial team, and external partners to deliver a variety of design projects, primarily focusing on creative asset creation, digital content production, new project ideation, and project management. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong graphic design expertise, and the ability to adapt designs for multiple cannabis brands & formats, all while maintaining consistency and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Asset Production:
- Ideate and execute a wide range of creative deliverables, including digital and print assets, website and email design, and social content and management.
- Apply technical design skills to ensure assets meet brand standards, production requirements, and creative briefs.
- Adapt and refine existing creative concepts into finalized, production-ready assets across various formats.
- Lead net new design work when necessary, and work with internal and external partners to ensure a high quality of work is consistently being produced.
Digital Asset Development:
- Work with teams to create web and social media assets that support marketing goals and align with the brand.
- Design and produce digital content for websites, social platforms, and emails, ensuring it looks great and works across formats.
- Collaborate on ideas to make digital strategies more engaging and effective.
In-Store Merchandising Support:
- Utilize brand standards documents to transform generic vendor concepts and display ideas into fully customized, print-production-ready tools that align with the brand’s visual identity and goals.
- Collaborate with vendors to adapt existing templates into unique, high-quality displays, point-of-sale materials, and branded merchandise tailored to specific retail environments.
- Manage the entire design-to-production process, including refining vendor-provided designs, preparing production-ready files, and ensuring flawless execution of final assets.
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, UX/UI Design, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a similar graphic or production design role, with cannabis experience a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Adobe creative suite such as Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop for both digital and print design. Intermediate-level skills in video editing and animation (e.g., After Effects, Premiere Pro).
- Creative Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing professional work that demonstrates concept development, creative execution, and expert use of typography, composition, and motion design with examples in print and digital.
- Digital Marketing Expertise: Familiarity with website management, particularly Squarespace and WordPress, including site setup, maintenance, and updates. Experience designing, setting up, and managing digital newsletters, including email marketing platforms.
- Content & Social Marketing Expertise: Experience in creating and managing content for social media platforms, ensuring brand consistency and engagement.
- Attention to Detail & Organization: High degree of creativity with meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Location
- This position is based in Toronto, Canada, hybrid office / work-from-home arrangement.
- The successful candidate will be expected to work from our downtown Toronto office three days per week.
