Job Description
As a candidate passionate about data and virtualization, you will be responsible for working closely with Operations teams and Vendors to ensure the stable operation of the Denodo platform. You should be an independent worker with a growth mindset, willing to collaborate in a cross-functional environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise on all aspects of Denodo, including development and code review of views by collaborating with engineering teams.
- Perform minor and major version upgrades and patching of Denodo Platform application servers installed in Linux and hosted in AWS Cloud.
- Administer Linux servers in AWS hosting the Denodo platform.
- Review and address any security vulnerabilities in the infrastructure hosting the Denodo Platform.
- Ensure reliability, security, and privacy aspects are maintained across the infrastructure and Denodo Platform components, ensuring full compliance with internal audits.
- Develop new automation and self-service capabilities around data virtualization.
- Deliver Denodo Platform code continuously.
- Manage and enhance infrastructure-as-code capabilities in AWS for building Denodo Platform servers.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize queries in Denodo Platform, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and set up connections to new data sources.
- Review and enhance established best practices around data virtualization.
**Qualifications Required:**
- At least 3 years of experience in development and administration of Denodo Platform.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with various services in AWS Cloud, including CloudFormation and Compute/Database/Networking services.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Linux server administration, including scripting for automation.
- Intermediate to advanced level SQL knowledge and exposure to BI tools like MS PowerBI.
- Experience with monitoring/configuration/logging tools like Dynatrace, Catchpoint, Splunk, AWS Cloudwatch, Chef.
- Good understanding of TLS/SSL and other security concepts for enforcing data security.
- Knowledge of JDBC, ODBC, XML, JSON, and Web Services APIs. Experience in building REST data sources in Denodo.
- Experience with Git and Jenkins for deployment automation and understanding of CI/CD practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly in data and systems.
- Experience working in an agile methodology and a passion for data engineering.
