Job Description
GED 12 - General Educational Development Apply By: 25-Mar-2026 How to Apply? : Please submit your resume and cover letter along with three (3) work references to: Ernie Dreaver resume@muskodayfn.ca In accordance with standards of the Muskoday First Nation (MFN), the Community Safety Officer (CSO) will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment. CSOs will work alongside with the members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The CSO’s primary duties will enforce MFN by-laws and provincial statutes (e.g. traffic violations, etc.), and investigate disturbances, and unusual activities on MFN also wearing a uniformed presence within the community while on duty. CSOs will liaise with schools and community groups and attend functions on the MFN. The CSO will provide these services on a rotational shift basis, based on the needs of Muskoday First Nation. The CSO will primarily report to the Chief of Police. Skills and Requirements: Clear and current Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check (MUST present with application). No outstanding Criminal Charges and not subject of a criminal investigation. Grade 12 Transcripts or Equivalent (MUST present with application). Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver’s license (MUST be an experienced driver, ability to be added to MFN SGII Package Policy (MUST present with application) and Drivers Abstract). Must be 18 years of age. Must be of sound mind and good character. Must pass the physical test and the written test (SOPAT). Ability to write detailed reports without prejudice. Must be able to work irregular hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must have the ability to work well with people and work with minimal supervision. Integrity and Professionalism. Would be an asset: Security training endorsed by a recognized training facility or institution Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant experience. Knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols. Knowledge and application of investigation and apprehension principles.
