Position: Addictions & Wellness Advisor Needed

Location: Northwestern Saskatchewan (Battleford)

Take a proactive approach in the role of Addictions & Wellness Advisor, focusing on support, education, and community intervention efforts. Partner with the Community Wellness Manager to improve community health outcomes.

In this impactful position, you will assess community needs and develop objectives to promote rehabilitation and follow-up services. Your responsibilities include delivering workshops, facilitating healing circles, and providing ongoing counselling. You’ll also engage with various community groups to ensure comprehensive support services are implemented effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify community needs related to addiction and mental health
• Create program objectives aligned with departmental policies
• Deliver workshops to schools and youth groups
• Engage in home visits for client support
• Coordinate various addiction support services

Requirements

• Dedication to a healthy lifestyle
• Chemical Dependency Diploma with relevant experience
• Familiarity with treatment approaches in addiction
• Valid driver's license and travel readiness
• Successful completion of an RCMP Criminal Record Check
