Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Apprentice specializing in Data Center projects for Amazon AWS! This energetic role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your electrical skills in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. You will assist experienced electricians in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems that power critical data center infrastructure. This paid apprenticeship is designed to build your expertise in low and high voltage systems, blueprint reading, schematics, and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Duties

• Support the installation and wiring of electrical systems using hand tools and power tools on construction sites dedicated to active data center infrastructure
• Install, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems including high voltage and low voltage wiring within active data centers.
• Installation of high voltage equipment may include wearing a 40 Cal arc flash suit
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs.
• Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose issues and ensure system integrity.
• Maintain compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and OSHA safety protocols during all phases of work.
• Perform the installation of PDC Cabinets, power panels PDU, cable tray and large feeders.
• Installation of fiber, Cat 5 and Cat 6 and termination/test

Experience

• Construction site experience working on large-scale projects on active data centers or similar facilities installing cable tray, feeders, power panels and cabinets.
• Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code) and OSHA standards
• Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems is a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining safety standards
