Role - Lab Admin/System Engineer
Location - MARKHAM ,ON
Hybrid position
Must have skills (Give briefly) Responsibilities:
Rack, Build, cable, configure, and provision Intel and AMD Servers
Rac, Cable, and Deploy Cisco layer 2 networking equipment
Troubleshoot, test, quality assurance of Server hardware
Professionally resolve hardware issues via trouble ticketDesired experience:
Operating System Installation Windows Server, Linux, Unix
Cabling knowledge beyond dressing or running cabling, such as confidently comprehending port mapping and ability to know the differences and purposes behind each cable type Understanding of basic hardware troubleshooting and applying logical methods of resolution
Rack, cable, and deploy Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment a plus
Experience with RAID levels is a plus Web Server and Database installation experience a plus
Must be able to work in this country without sponsorship
Must be willing to learn quickly, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment Shift Time : Evening ShiftQualifications: High school pass out MinimumTechnical Experience: Should know basic computer Hardware asset knowledgeTechnical Capabilities:
HW setup and config
Ability to connect/configure desktop/laptop/tablet PC peripherals according to test plan requirements ( e.g. external monitors, keyboard, mouse, Bluetooth headset, doc, etc. )Software Installation, Updates
Ability to install an Operating system, BIOS, driver updates and identify version informationBasic PC issue triage
Ability to identify common OC issues ( e.g. , blue screens, hangs, etc. ) and work with issue tracking systems to record issues, search for other instances of similar failure mechanism, and apply workarounds ( e.g. load specific driver version, apply OS update.Test Plan execution and Optimization for efficiency
Ability to read a test plan definition and optimize test execution ( e.g., peripheral configurations and required changes, operator time for deploying required software updates, charging/discharging time for battery life tests, consider run time of specific applications/measurements, etc. )
Ability to execute a manual test plan script ( e.g. boot system, run a batch file, open chrome/browse website list ) and report subjective user experience criteria ( e.g. perceived fan noise, system touch temperature, snappy vs sluggish responsiveness )Leadership Capabilities:
Engages well with customers and partners while navigating through the potential roadblocks.
Effective with executive communication and building respect
Works cross-functionally across groups to quickly resolve issues that arise from testingEducation and Experience:
Electronics and Experience ( 2 years degree ) required
3 to 5 yrs of relevant industry experience
Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
Team player with good communication skills
Prior experience with client PC testing, diagnostic and debug preferredNote: It is for Evening Shift and 5 days work from office compulsory, Location MCNabb.
