Weekly Shifts In‑Vehicle & On‑Foot Patrol Flexible Candidates Needed

We are seeking professional, reliable, and licensed Unarmed Security Officers to provide safety and patrol services at a residential community in Alexandria, VA (22302). This position requires a strong presence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to weekly shift needs.

To be considered for this opportunity, all applicants must be certified as a security officer in the state of Virginia and currently hold an active DCJS Guard Card.

Must have a reliable vehicle to fulfill patrol duties.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards.
• Manage access control by verifying identification and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations when necessary.
• Perform detailed inspections of individuals and property to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized entry.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incident reports, and security checks to ensure thorough documentation.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents requiring additional support.
• Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor.

Experience

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of surveillance techniques and CCTV systems is essential for effective monitoring.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred to handle medical emergencies confidently.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure are crucial.
• Experience with conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques helps maintain a safe environment for all stakeholders.
