Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and proactive DC Security Officer (Unarmed) to uphold safety and security standards within our company while we serve our valuable clients . In this vital role, you will monitor premises, manage access points, and ensure a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your keen observation skills and commitment to safety will help prevent theft, vandalism, and other security threats. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining a safe and secure operational space.

To be considered for this position, all applicants must currently hold an active DC Security Officer license

Must be available for shifts Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 6pm - 12am

Duties

• Control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel, verifying identities and issuing passes as needed
• Perform visual inspections of the premises, including fences, gates, and entry points, to identify potential security risks
• Respond promptly to security incidents or alarms, coordinating with emergency services when necessary
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and access records for accountability and reporting purposes
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious behavior and intervening when appropriate

Requirements

• Proven experience in security operations or law enforcement is preferred; military background is a plus
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Familiarity with security procedures, including access control protocols and incident reporting
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members, visitors, and emergency responders

Pay: $19.00 per hour
