National Field Reimbursement Director – ATTR

The general purpose of the Field Reimbursement Director (FRM Director) role is to oversee Field Reimbursement Managers activities to minimize logistical and other barriers to therapy for patients and providers and, therefore, optimize access to Astra Zeneca products in the ATTR therapeutic area. This purpose will be achieved by delivering quality interactions with key health care professionals and institutional customers through specialized services. The FRM Director will lead a team of Field Reimbursement Managers while working closely with Managed Markets, Trade, Marketing and Sales partners in the field, supporting accounts in resolving reimbursement issues or concerns, developing ethical and customer-oriented reimbursement strategies, and communicating payer criteria/terms and practices.
As all other employees, FRM Directors are fully accountable for compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies that govern the conduct of Astra Zeneca activities.
What you’ll do:
Lead, manage and develop a team of Field Reimbursement Managers
Partner with Access Services, Marketing, and various Managed Markets and Trade groups to review/understand relevant franchise and managed care business plans, priorities, and objectives.
Identify reimbursement-specific opportunities or issues and educate internal partners on the payer landscape.
Maintain a high-level knowledge of Managed Care and related Managed Markets benefit structures, reimbursement mechanisms, legal and regulatory landscape, and health management programs. Deliver key performance metric analytics.
Maintain a comprehensive and detailed region business plan.
Prepare and present provider level communications. Maintain an outstanding level of industry awareness and Therapeutic Area knowledge, utilization management techniques, and treatment and reimbursement guidelines.
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
3 years of Field Based Management Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
5 years of total business experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical/biotech industry
Knowledge and experience of legal and regulatory requirements related to the Biotech & Pharmaceutical industries.
Experience with business planning and market analysis
Ability to travel a minimum of 60 to 75% (overnight)
Preferred Experience:
MBA or other related graduate level degree
3+ years of Biotech or Pharmaceutical Field Leadership experience
2+ years of rare disease, ATTR therapeutic area experience
3+ years of Managed Markets/Field Reimbursement experience
2+ years of sales, managed care or reimbursement experience
Prior experience in a headquarters-based role
The annual base pay for this position ranges from $ 186,105.60 - 279,158.40 Annual USD. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program. Benefits offered include a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
