Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to ensure the reliability performance and security of mission-critical Oracle databases. The role also requires expertise as an AWS-focused DBA to manage and optimize Amazon RDS (Oracle/PostgreSQL/MSSQL) and Amazon Redshift clusters with a strong emphasis on Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on administration of Oracle 19c RAC Data Guard RMAN ASM and OEM
• Expert-level SQL and instance performance tuning; AWR/ASH analysis; wait events diagnosis
• Provision configure and manage Amazon RDS instances/clusters (instance classes storage autoscaling multi-AZ parameter/subnet groups)
• Govern backup/restore strategies including automated backups snapshots encryption (KMS) patching and version upgrades
• Implement monitoring and alerting using CloudWatch Performance Insights and Enhanced Monitoring; tune connections and queries
• Cost management: right-sizing resources storage optimization and advisory on Reserved/Compute Savings Plans
• Design deploy and operate Amazon Redshift clusters; configure WLM concurrency scaling and queue management
• Optimize schema design (distribution/sort keys) run VACUUM/ANALYZE tune queries and isolate workloads
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline/GitHub Actions) for deploying CDK apps; manage multiple environments (dev/qa/uat/prod)
• Ensure high availability: Multi-AZ deployments for RDS cross-region snapshots as needed

Qualifications (Required):

• 47 years of experience as an Oracle DBA including 3 years managing AWS data services
• Hands-on experience with Amazon RDS (Oracle/PostgreSQL/MSSQL) and Amazon Redshift administration
• Expertise in monitoring (CloudWatch Performance Insights) performance tuning and cost optimization
• At least one Oracle certification (OCP) and one AWS certification
• Proficiency with AWS CDK (TypeScript or Python) CloudFormation and CI/CD pipelines
