Job Description
ASSYST is seeking a SFMC Marketing Analyst who will support our client's Information Technology division in the migration of a legacy, home-grown Marketing Portal to Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). This role reports to the PMO Director and works closely with the Salesforce Development Director and migration delivery team. The ideal candidate will analyze marketing technologies, campaign performance data, and audience insights while supporting project coordination, documentation, and system transition activities.

Responsibilities
- Analyze existing and potential marketing technology capabilities, consumer audiences, and legacy portal performance data
- Support migration of the legacy Marketing Portal to SFMC
- Conduct discovery and inventory of campaigns, audience segments, email templates, workflows, reporting artifacts, and integrations
- Assist in data mapping between legacy systems and SFMC components
- Analyze campaign performance metrics including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, CPC, ROAS, and segmentation metrics
- Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials for IT leadership and stakeholders
- Maintain organized documentation repositories and system records
- Track project milestones, risks, dependencies, and action items in coordination with the PMO
- Prepare status reports, meeting minutes, and project updates
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including test script preparation, issue logging, and resolution tracking
- Collaborate with IT, marketing, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and identify workflow improvements
- Support change management activities including training materials and stakeholder communications
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, PII handling, HIPAA requirements, and security protocols
- Follow PMO processes, methodologies, and change control procedures
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in a business environment (relevant internships included)
- Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar platforms such as Mailchimp or HubSpot
- Demonstrated exposure to SFMC through training, coursework, certification preparation, or hands-on experience
- Experience with digital marketing platforms including Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager
- Experience using Google Analytics and Google Search Console
- Ability to analyze campaign performance metrics such as CTR, conversion rate, CPC, ROAS, and ROI
- Experience conducting A/B testing for campaigns or landing pages
- Working knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud including Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder
- Experience supporting platform migration or system transformation projects
- Experience with SEO tools such as SEMrush
- Experience with CRM platforms and marketing data workflows
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups
- Experience with SQL or MySQL
- Exposure to Python, R, or SPSS for data analysis
- Experience managing paid media campaigns across digital platforms
- Familiarity with conversion rate optimization methodologies
- Experience with CMS or e-commerce platforms such as Shopify
- Proficiency with design tools including Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience creating presentations and stakeholder communication materials
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams
- Knowledge of compliance standards including HIPAA, PII, CAN-SPAM/CASL, Section 508, and WCAG
- Relevant certifications such as Google Analytics Certification or Digital Marketing credentials
