Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer – DG Sets (Diesel Generators) role based in Kolkata (West Bengal) , Karnal (Haryana) and Haldwani (Uttarakhand). The Sales Engineer will identify and pursue sales opportunities for diesel generator sets, engage with prospective and existing customers, and prepare technical and commercial proposals. Daily responsibilities include understanding customer power requirements, recommending suitable DG configurations, conducting product presentations and site visits, and coordinating with internal technical teams for solution design. The role involves supporting customers with pre-sales and post-sales technical queries, ensuring timely responses, and maintaining accurate records of leads, quotes, and orders. The Sales Engineer will also track market trends, competitor activity, and contribute to achieving sales targets while delivering reliable customer service.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering skills, including DG sets sizing, technical evaluation, and solution design.
• Candidates should possess solid Sales and Customer Service skills to manage the full sales cycle and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for presenting technical solutions, negotiating, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Candidates should possess Technical Support capabilities, including handling product queries, troubleshooting basic issues, and coordinating with service teams.
• Relevant experience in diesel generators, electrical engineering, or power solutions; a diploma or degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic CRM tools, with strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work both independently and within a team structure.
