Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead complex system design and development projects within our innovative engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines, with a strong background in FPGA development, signal processing, and system integration. This role involves designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions. The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a pivotal role in advancing our manufacturing capabilities and product offerings through technical expertise and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of electrical systems, including schematics, PCB layouts, and firmware integration.
  • Develop FPGA-based solutions utilizing VHDL or Verilog for high-performance applications.
  • Conduct system simulations and analyses using tools such as ANSYS, MATLAB, and SolidWorks to validate designs.
  • Create detailed CAD models and technical drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, or similar software for mechanical and electrical components.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate electrical systems with mechanical designs utilizing Revit or CAD tools.
  • Program embedded systems using C++, Python, Perl, and scripting languages to develop firmware for microcontrollers such as ARM-based processors.
  • Design and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other control systems within manufacturing environments.
  • Perform signal processing tasks to optimize system performance and reliability.
  • Debug hardware and firmware issues through systematic testing and analysis.
  • Support manufacturing processes by providing technical guidance on system design, schematics, and system integration.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations throughout all phases of project development.

Skills

  • Extensive experience with FPGA development (VHDL/Verilog) and signal processing techniques.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools such as ANSYS, MATLAB, SolidWorks, Revit, MicroStation, and CAD software.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical engineering expertise to facilitate integrated system design.
  • Hands-on experience with AutoCAD for schematic creation; Revit or MicroStation for mechanical modeling; SolidWorks for 3D design; System design using C++, Python, Perl scripting; Firmware development for embedded systems (ARM).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality standards relevant to electrical systems.
  • Expertise in debugging hardware/software issues within complex electronic systems.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their application in industrial automation.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with effective communication abilities to lead cross-disciplinary teams. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $83,199.10-$154,808.32 per year
