offerings. Supported by the expertise of our world-class Arista TAC and state-of-the-art lab
resources, you are empowered to serve as a long-term advocate and advisor for our clients.

Alternate Locations: Spokane, WA | Portland, OR

Note: Only local residents of Washington and Oregon will be considered for this position.

What You’ll Do

This role is a blend of deep post-sales engineering and strategic pre-sales support, with an
approximate 70% focus on post-sales activities.

Primary Post-Sales Responsibilities (70%)
● Serve as the lead technical expert for the design, deployment, and operationalization of
Arista solutions in large-scale Data Center, Campus, and WAN environments for our large Cloud customers in the Pacific Northwest region.
● Translate complex business requirements into scalable, resilient, and secure network
architectures.
● Create and review comprehensive network designs, providing best-practice
recommendations to customers during on-site and remote working sessions.

● Lead complex migration and interconnection projects from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper,
and Aruba to the Arista EOS®-based infrastructure.
● Develop and implement network automation workflows using Python, Ansible, and other
DevOps frameworks to streamline configurations and operations.
● Act as a technical advocate for the customer, providing an expert interface to Arista TAC and
internal development for bug scrubs, code recommendations, and feature requests.
● Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customer stakeholders,
becoming their trusted technical advisor.

Pre-Sales & Strategic Responsibilities (30%)
● Partner with the Sales Engineering team by providing deep technical expertise during the
evaluation and proof-of-concept (POC) stages.
● Lead in-depth, hands-on testing to validate complex design scenarios and customer success
criteria.
● Attend and present at key customer and partner events; deliver ongoing technical training to
customer engineering teams.
● Maintain deep listening skills, customer empathy, humility, and competence to build trust
and drive successful outcomes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Network Industry Certification (e.g., CCNP ; Enterprise/SP, JNCIP, ACE-3/4/5) is highly preferred.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in a network engineering, consulting, or professional services role with a focus on large-scale enterprise, data center, or service provider environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in a post-sales focused role such as Network Consulting Engineer, Professional Services Engineer, or Advanced Services Engineer is preferred.
  • Expert-level knowledge of core networking fundamentals including the TCP/IP protocol stack, IP Routing (BGP, OSPF), and L2 switching (VxLAN/EVPN).
  • In-depth knowledge in at least one key technology area: Data Center architecture, Campus networking (including NAC/802.1X), enterprise Wi-Fi, or network security.
  • A demonstrable background and prior hands-on experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) is highly desired. Candidates should be able to speak to specific projects and outcomes.
  • Experience with multi-vendor network migrations is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
