Accounts Payable Manager

Duties

• Supervise the accounts payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments.
• Oversee the reconciliation of accounts payable sub-ledgers with the general ledger, ensuring consistency with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Manage the approval workflow for invoices using financial software such as Workday, SAP, or Oracle, ensuring adherence to internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Coordinate with procurement, finance, human resources, and external vendors to resolve discrepancies and facilitate smooth payment cycles.
• Maintain detailed records of all transactions, perform account reconciliations, and prepare audit documentation for internal and external audits.
• Implement process improvements utilizing tools like Excel data analysis, VLOOKUP functions, and automation features to increase efficiency.
• Support month-end closing activities by preparing journal entries related to accounts payable and assisting with general ledger reconciliations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on accounts payable management; experience in public accounting is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of accounting systems such as Workday, Paychex, QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or UltiPro; familiarity with financial software integrations is preferred.
• Deep understanding of GAAP standards, SOX compliance requirements, and internal controls related to accounts payable processes.
• Proficiency in Excel formulas including VLOOKUP functions, data analysis techniques, and 10-key typing skills for efficient data entry.
• Experience with payroll management systems like ADP or Kronos; knowledge of benefits administration is advantageous.
• Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation, journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting accurately.
• Excellent analysis skills combined with strong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Pay: $63,253.73 - $84,133.52 per year
