- What you will do:**
- **Interaction Design Strategy:**
- Leverage a deep understanding of user interface patterns and behaviors to enhance user comprehension and optimize task performance.
- Design visualizations and interactions that facilitate analytic thinking, especially with large data sets.
- Lead design critiques, assess interactions for inclusivity, and offer expert guidance to cross-functional teams.
- Facilitate engaging ideation sessions and collaborative work activities to drive innovation.
- Serve as the primary subject-matter expert for interaction design within the product design team.
- **Interaction Artifact Creation:**
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of interaction design theory, research data, and best practices to inform critical design decisions.
- Develop highly complex artifacts to clearly communicate task flows, user touchpoints, behaviors, and information exchange.
- Create intricate low-fidelity sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to effectively explore, communicate, and validate design concepts.
- Produce complex prototypes that provide precise delivery specifications for development teams.
- Present sophisticated interaction design work to senior stakeholders, articulating rationale and impact.
- **Research and Testing:**
- Facilitate and lead usability testing sessions to gather crucial user feedback.
- Actively participate in or initiate research activities to deepen understanding of user needs and market trends.
- Conduct research into interaction design strategies within the financial services sector and perform competitive audits relevant to specific design or business objectives.
- Execute pattern, micro-interaction, and component design audits as appropriate to maintain consistency and quality.
- Must-have:**
- BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing usable interfaces across diverse channels and platforms.
- Proven experience in an applied research setting, including successfully integrating user research into product designs and design practices.
- Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate design strategy, rationale, and logic, detailing benefits and highlighting risks associated with design decisions.
- Expertise with leading design, prototyping, and research tools such as Figma, Mural, and UserTesting.com.
