Senior Marketing Automation Specialist

Role

To help us handle our increasing workload, we are looking to bring on a Senior Marketing Automation Specialist.

Responsibilities

Produce email templates and push notifications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for a wide variety of clients.

Collaborate with our team of highly skilled email developers and customer success managers to resolve potential issues in email deployments.

Participate in email stand‑ups to prioritize workload and ensure timely completion of all tasks.

Work closely with the client team to field requests, answer questions, and collaborate on work‑in‑progress tasks.

Ensure that emails comply with clients' standards, email marketing best practices, and CAN‑Spam laws.

Test email messages to ensure proper formats and templates are utilized using tools such as Litmus and Email on Acid.

Minimum requirements to be considered

5+ years of email production and development experience.

Mastery of HTML and CSS specific to email.

Proficiency with JSON.

Knows what an API is, how it works, and is proficient in making GET and POST calls.

Understand how a data feed works.

Has an understanding of email code structure and knows how to make code responsive for different devices.

Has strong email etiquette and can communicate with testing, QC, and updates directly with clients.

Can take feedback, clarify it and make adjustments, several times if needed.

The ideal candidate

Platform experience with Iterable, Braze, Klaviyo, Marketo, Simon Data, or Blueshift.

Knowledge of Liquid or Python, Handlebars, Django, or JINJA.

Proficiency with Photoshop and Figma.
