About Us

Apeejay Education Society was established in 1967 by the Apeejay Surrendra Group and has built a legacy of nearly five decades in quality education. The society runs 29 institutions across India, including 13 schools, 16 institutions of higher learning, and Apeejay Stya University, Indias first Liberal Arts University with a focus on Technology & Research.

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Laravel (backend) and Next.js (frontend).
• Own features end-to-end: requirements understanding, technical design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Participate actively in architecture discussions, making pragmatic trade-offs between speed, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, QA, and business stakeholders.
• Review code with a mentorship mindset, improving team qualitynot just catching bugs.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues with a calm, structured approach.
• Contribute to DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and system documentation.
• Stay current with modern PHP, JavaScript, and web development best practices.

Good to Have

• Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Linux-based environments.
• Prior experience in education platforms or financial/business applications.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience in building web applications using Laravel.
• Strong hands-on experience with Next.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Solid understanding of MySQL and relational database design.
• Experience with REST APIs, Git, and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience working with Fin-tech applications or CRM / ERP is a plus.
