Role Description

We're looking for an exceptional AI Backend Engineer to join our Austin team and help architect the intelligent systems that power the next generation of business-building. You'll be at the intersection of cutting-edge AI and real-world business impact, designing and building the backend infrastructure that orchestrates autonomous agents, manages complex multi-step workflows, and delivers strategic intelligence to thousands of entrepreneurs.

This is a full-time, on-site role in Austin, TX where you'll work alongside world-class engineers, product leaders, and founders who are deeply committed to solving one of the hardest problems in business: helping entrepreneurs know exactly what to work on next and executing it with AI-powered precision.

Technical Expertise:

• 2+ years of experience building scalable backend systems in production environments
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend language (Node at least)
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API principles

AI/ML Integration Experience:

• Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML models (especially LLMs) into production backend systems
• Deep understanding of AI agent architectures
• Familiarity with bleeding edge AI frameworks and tools - if you have an OpenClaw that is a good start (and if you think it is poor, even better)

Problem-Solving & Ownership:

• Track record of taking ownership of complex technical challenges and delivering elegant solutions, having been a founder of something yourself is a major plus
• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to define requirements when they're unclear
