We are currently seeking a qualified <strong data-start="282" data-end="306">Strategy Consultant I</strong> to join our team supporting a Senior Finance Organization within the <strong>DoD</strong>.</span></p> <h3 data-start="423" data-end="448"><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></h3> <p>The consultant will support the CFO and project leadership on performance improvement, cross-functional integration, organizational effectiveness, and data modernization initiatives. This role is ideal for an early-career professional looking to build consulting skills, develop structured problem-solving capabilities, and gain exposure to executive-level decision-making.</p> <p>The role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work in moderately ambiguous environments while contributing to team-based solutions and recommendations.</p> <ul> <li>Support the CFO and project leadership in planning and executing strategic initiatives with measurable outcomes</li> <li>Assist in analyzing financial and organizational challenges and contribute to the development of insights and recommendations</li> <li>Conduct research, data analysis, and benchmarking to support project deliverables and decision-making</li> <li>Help assess current-state processes, identify gaps, and document improvement opportunities</li> <li>Support business process reviews and mapping activities to identify efficiencies and future-state enhancements</li> <li>Develop draft presentations, reports, and stakeholder communications for internal and executive audiences</li> <li>Assist in preparing leadership for meetings, including compiling materials, tracking action items, and following up on next steps</li> <li>Contribute to digital and data modernization efforts across business functions</li> <li>Coordinate across teams to gather inputs and maintain alignment on priorities and deliverables</li> <li>Support change management and stakeholder engagement activities, including communications and training materials</li> <li>Apply structured project management approaches to track tasks, monitor progress, and support timely delivery</li> </ul> <h3 data-start="2980" data-end="2995"><strong>REQUIREMENTS:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, public policy, management, or a related field</li> <li>Approximately 1–3 years of experience in consulting or a related role in federal or commercial environments</li> <li>Foundational experience supporting strategy, operations, or organizational improvement initiatives</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail</li> <li>Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to contribute to client-ready deliverables</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a team-oriented environment</li> <li>Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative</li> </ul> <h3><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Exposure to consulting engagements or project-based work in commercial or federal environments</li> <li>Familiarity with CFO functions, financial analysis, or organizational performance concepts</li> <li>Experience supporting federal or DoD clients, or organizations undergoing transformation</li> <li>Familiarity with project tracking or collaboration tools (e.g., ClickUp, MS Project, Jira)</li> <li>Exposure to process improvement or change management concepts (e.g., Lean, Agile, PROSCI)</li> <li>Experience with data analysis, reporting, or performance metrics</li> </ul> <h3 data-start="2980" data-end="2995"><strong data-start="2984" data-end="2995">SALARY:</strong></h3> <p data-start="2997" data-end="3054">Salary is commensurate with both location and experience.</p> <h3 data-start="3061" data-end="3099"><strong data-start="3065" data-end="3099">THE AM EMPLOYEE WILL DISPLAY…</strong></h3> <p data-start="3101" data-end="3746"><strong data-start="3101" data-end="3125">Attention to Detail:</strong> Produce high-quality deliverables and outputs that align with contract outcomes.<br data-start="3206" data-end="3209"><strong data-start="3209" data-end="3230">Self-Sufficiency:</strong> Execute tasks independently, seeking client assistance only after internal resources are exhausted, ensuring requests align with contract goals.<br data-start="3375" data-end="3378"><strong data-start="3378" data-end="3391">Teamwork:</strong> Collaborate effectively with team members, including AMC resources, subcontractors, and government stakeholders.<br data-start="3504" data-end="3507"><strong data-start="3507" data-end="3536">Communication/Engagement:</strong> Maintain professional conduct in meetings and written communication, participating actively with cameras on.<br data-start="3645" data-end="3648"><strong data-start="3648" data-end="3667">Responsiveness:</strong> Stay engaged, communicate promptly, and ensure deadlines are consistently met.</p> <h3 data-start="3753" data-end="3781"><strong data-start="3757" data-end="3781">ABOUT ANDREW MORGAN…</strong></h3> <p data-start="3783" data-end="4533">Andrew Morgan, founded in 2017 and headquartered in Alexandria, VA, is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and a certified HUBZone Small Business.
